A. Clusserath Trittenheimer Apotheke Riesling Trocken 2013

Riesling from Germany
Review Date : 03-Mar-2015
Bright, even, pale straw-yellow colour with lemony hues. The nose is tightly bound with pure slate-like mineral aromas along with refined and delicate floral and citrussy notes. This has excellent finesse and intricate detail, building in intensity in the glass. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is powerful and packed with a densely concentrated core providing great presence. Fine citrus and floral flavours are melded with stonefruit and minerals, the wine retaining excellent varietal integrity. The phenolic textures grow and combined with some alcohol power lends considerable drive. Steel acid bite lends freshness and cut, balancing the density and depth. This is a full, weight and textured Riesling that shows classic Mosel acid cut. 8-10 years. This had 14 hours skin contact. 12.0% alc. 18.5+/20 Feb 2015 RRP $53.90
