99 Rows by Julicher Pinot Noir 2018, Martinborough

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 18-Jul-2022
Bright, deep ruby-red, moderate transparency, lighter on the rim. The nose is lifted and enticing, with aromas of purple flowers, red cherries and blackberries entwined with black pepper and nutmeg. Medium-bodied, aromas of red cherries, blackberries intermixed with dried cranberries, rose petals, wet earth and spice linger to a savoury finish. The mouthfeel is soft with supple tannins and a fine grip. Secondary flavours added complexity and interest, supported by a piquant line of acidity. This Pinot Noir shows fragrant red fruit, slight developments of dried fruit and wet earth details and a supple, fine tannin mouthfeel. Match with roasted lamb with thyme and pork rillet over the next 2 years. 13.5% alc. 18/20 pts (90 pts) July 2022 RRP $28
