36 Bottles Central Otago Pinot Rosé 2013

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 28-Aug-2013
Bright, vivid, purple pink colour with good depth, youthful in appearance. This has an up-front and aromatic bouquet of candied cherry and raspberry fruits with a minerally core. Dryish to taste, punchy and well-concentrated flavours of raspberry and cherry fruit show with youthful, primary freshness. The fruit is lifted with aromatic fermentation esters and confectionary notes, and exudes a degree of succulence and sweetness. Some alcohol power underlines the palate, and adds to the soft acidity and textures providing good linearity. The flavours are carried to a long, sustained, lifted fruit finish with dry textures. This is an attractively bright, full-flavoured raspberry and cherry fruited Pinot Noir rosé with some candied notes. Serve al fresco, or with tapas over the next 2 years. Pinot Noir fruit from the ‘Lakeview Terraces’, Bendigo, given 40 hours skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.9% alc. and 7.1 g/L RS. Winemaker: Sarah-Kate Dineen. 110 dozen made. 17.5/20 Aug 2013 RRP $19.95 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
