36 Bottles Central Otago Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 09-Jun-2013
Light ruby-red colour with good depth, this shows youthful purple hues. On nose, this is light and delicate in expression with fresh, alluring, fragrant, lifted red berry fruits, as well as thyme herbs and lavender perfumes. An elegant wine on palate, this has freshness and liveliness with good acid tension forming the base for the delicate floral and red berry fruits. The wine shows good nuances and the extraction is moderate and very fine, providing suppleness and accessibility. Fruit from the Bendigo sub-region, fermented to 14.5% alc., the wine aged 10 months in new and seasoned French oak barriques.  Sarah-Kate and Dan Dineen of Wanaka the consultant winemakers. Serve with salmon and tuna over the next 4-5 years. 17.0-/20 May 2011 RRP $34.00 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
