36 Bottles Central Otago Pinot Noir 2008

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 09-Jun-2013
Bright ruby-red colour, this is brilliant in appearance. Fresh and firm on nose, this has red berry fruits with dried herbs and nuances of cool, stalk elements and a touch of reduction. The palate balances dark red berry fruit flavours with distinctive elements of herbs and stalks, a touch of reduction and attractive oak toastiness. This has an array of flavours, with a palate of softness and balanced textures. Drink with south-east Asian poultry dishes over the next 3-4+ years. Clones 5 and 6 from Bendigo, some whole bunch used, given a cold soak and fermented to 14.0% alc, the wine aged 9 months in 40% new French oak barriques. 16.5/20 May 2011 RRP $34.00 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
