36 Bottles Central Otago Pinot Gris 2011

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 09-Jun-2013
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on edge. The nose is fresh, aromatic and lifted, showing up-front white stonefruit and acacia florals alongside notes of flint and minerals. Dryish to taste and light-medium bodied, refreshing and accessible flavours of white stonefruits reveal subtle savoury mineral interest. The textures are soft and the mouthfeel gentle and easy, the acidity in good balance, providing a delicate raciness. The flavours flow to a lacy finish with nuances of florals and flint. This is an approachable, and gently aromatic, dryish Pinot Gris. Serve as an aperitif and with first courses over the next 3 years. Pinot Gris fruit from the Cromwell Basin cool-fermented to 14.0% alc. and 4.1 g/L rs. 16.5/20 Jun 2013 RRP $22.95 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
