36 Bottles Central Otago Pinot Gris 2009

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 09-Jun-2013
Fruit from Lowburn in the Cromwell Basin, cool-fermented to 14.1% alc. and 7.45 g/L, a portion seeing some skin contact. Bright pale straw-yellow with some green hues to the colour, this has a soft, full nose showing some breadth of ripe stonefruit and pear aromas along with notes of yellow florals and spices. The palate is off-dry, soft, full and showing a harmonious integration of stonefruit and honied pear flavours, alcoholic power, soft acidity and gentle textures. This is beginning to drink very well now, and will continue to do so over the next 3-5 years. Match with Sealfood and white meat dishes. 17.5+/20 May 2011 RRP $22.00 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
