3 Terraces Gladstone Wairarapa Pinot Noir 2010

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 09-Sep-2011
Hand-picked fruit from the ‘Dakins Road' vineyard destemmed and fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 12 months in French oak barrels. Light ruby-red colour with some depth and pale purple hues on edge, the bouquet is moderately intense, showing dark red berry fruit aromas with notes of garden herbs and minerally nuances, fresh and lively, with cooler spectrum elements. An elegantly proportioned, medium-weighted wine, this has juicy, succulent dark red berry fruit flavours with some herb notes forming a good core. Some resiny oak is present. Fresh, elevated acidity and firm tannins lead to a dry finish. Match with Mediterranean duck and pork dishes over the next 4-5+ years. 16.5/20 Sep 2011 RRP $15.95
