27 Seconds Pinot Noir 2018, North Canterbury

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 12-Apr-2021
Moderate ruby-red with good transparency, lighter edged. The nose is soft and herbaceous, with nuances of dried herbs, interweave black cherries, black fruit fragrance and a hint of gamey development. Medium-full bodied, dry on the palate with a dusting of cinnamon, aromas of black cherries, blackberries, dried thyme complexed by a hint of game. There's an enticing acid tension that flows with elegance; powdery tannin extraction added a fine grip. The wine is alluring with dark fruit, dried thyme, a gamey attraction and a fine tannin structure. Match with roasted duck and lamb over the next 4-5 years. 13% alc. 18+/20 pts (91 pts) Apr 2021 RRP $24
