12,000 Miles Gladstone Pinot Gris 2013

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 23-Dec-2013
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on rim. The nose is fresh and bright with lifted white floral and white stonefruit aromas, the bouquet clean and pure in expression, lifted by honeysuckle nuances and esters. Dry to taste and light-bodied, tight, fresh and clean flavours of florals and stonefruits are lifted with honeysuckle flavours and minerally elements. The mouthfeel is very fine-featured and crisp, with good acid detail underlining the fruit, and the flavours flow with balance and harmony, leading to a light, dry and mouthwatering finish. This is a pure, crisp and dry Pinot Gris with floral and aromatic lift. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood and canapés over the next 2+ years. Fruit from the ‘Boyd’, ‘Cliffs’ and ‘Winery’ blocks, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4.52 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees for 2 months. 16.5+/20 Dec 2013 RRP $21.00
