  Even, light ruby-red colour with slight purple hues on the rim. The nose is elegantly concentrated with aromas of dark cherries and raspberries, along with notes of dark herbs, unfolding nuances of spice and nutty oak. Medium-bodied, the palate has light, but up-front fruit flavours of cherries, strawberries and raspberries entwined with spice and herb nuances. The palate has good energy and liveliness, with fresh acidity, the wine flowing along a modestly extracted palate line with light tannins. The wine carries to a light, fresh, fruity and clean finish. This is a light, accessible and uncomplicated Pinot Noir with bright fruit, a fresh mouthfeel and supple grip. Match with tuna and salmon, and with poultry over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from the Mariri vineyard, destemmed and fermented to 12.5% alc., the wine aged 12 months in barrel. 16.5/20 May 2017 RRP $19.95
