As one of this country’s major distributors, EuroVintage has a very strong imported wine portfolio with classics from the classical countries. Among the French wines are ranges from Domaine Alsace Willm, based in the village of Barr, and established in 1896, and M. Chapoutier, the famous Rhone producer, established in 1808. EuroVintage maintains selections for the New Zealand market which offer very good value, as well as the more prestigious bottlings. Here, I review the 2014 Willm ‘Reserve’ Alsace Riesling and Chapoutier Crozes-Hermitage ‘Les Meysonniers’. www.eurovintage.co.nz
