Two Rivers 2016 Brookby Hill Pinot Gris and Juliet Riesling

20-Oct-2016
Establishing the ‘Two Rivers’ brand in 2004, Dave Clouston has used his intimate knowledge of the Marlborough sub-regions to source excellent fruit from high quality vineyard sites for his wines. His recent acquisition in December last year of a 9.3 ha block in the Omaka Valley with 6.0 ha of vines planted from 2000, named ‘Brookby Hill’ has now given him a base for the Two River brand and a consistent source of top quality fruit. The vineyard is close-planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Syrah and Viognier. Dave is now beginning to release wines from this site. Here, I review the 2016 ‘Brookby Hill’ Pinot Gris and ‘Juliet’ Riesling, the fruit coming from the new Two Rivers home vineyard. www.tworivers.co.nz
