Two Rivers 2015 L’Ile de Beauté Rosé and Convergence Sauvignon Blanc

02-Nov-2015
For winemaker Dave Clouston, Marlborough is home, having been brought up in the Wairau Valley. He completed his first vintage in 1996 and then toured the world making wine, returning to Marlborough to establish Two Rivers in 2004. The name ‘Two Rivers’ credits the Wairau and Awatere rivers and the valleys they have created to enable the growing of grapes. David’s intimate knowledge of the region allows him to source fruit from high performing vineyards for his wines. The 2015 vintage is regarded as an outstanding one and David has now released the ‘L’Ile de Beauté’ Rosé and ‘Convergence’ Sauvignon Blanc, which many see as his most successful wines, at a time when he considers they are beginning to show well. Here are my reviews of the two wines. www.tworivers.co.nz
