Two Rivers 2015 ‘Juliet’ Riesling and 2014 ‘Altitude’ Sauvignon Blanc

10-Feb-2016
Established in 2004, Two Rivers has become a significant Marlborough label through the skill and expertise of winemaker and owner Dave Clouston. A local, Dave has considerable familiarity with the vineyard sites and sub-regions of the Marlborough district and how different varieties perform within them. He has been steadily raising the quality of the wines and has earned success with his Sauvignon Blanc and rosé wines in tastings and judgings over recent years. The aromatic Pinot Gris and Riesling whites are also very highly regarded, and his handling of oak is increasingly sophisticated. Here, I review his new 2015 ‘Juliet’ Riesling and oak-influenced 2014 ‘Altitude’ Sauvignon Blanc. www.tworivers.co.nz
