The Turanga Creek label has grown significantly over the last couple of years from the 24 ha Whitford certified organic vineyard acquired by Wayne and Mandy Allen just over 20 years ago. The ‘Down To Earth’ tier offers value organically grown wines, of which some made from fruit outside the Whitford property, and can employ wine from overseas. However, it is the wine made from the home vines that take pride of place. The vineyard is tended by Margaret Boswell and the very experienced Rod McDonald is the consultant winemaker.
