Trinity Hill 2016 Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Syrah

16-Feb-2017
One of Hawke’s Bay’s most consistent top performers, Trinity Hill not only showcases the home vineyards of the Gimblett Gravels, but also the greater and more diverse nature of the whole Hawke’s Bay vignoble. The flagship ‘Black Label’ wines are almost always based on the fruit from the Gimblett Gravels, but the more accessible ‘White Label’ ‘Hawke’s Bay’ range encompasses varieties that perform well if not better outside the Gimblett Gravels region, and fruit from the various sub-regions of Hawke’s Bay and even beyond, such as the cooler Crownthorpe and Central Hawke’s Bay areas. This makes Trinity Hill, arguably the consummate Hawke’s Bay producer. Here, I review the new release 2016 Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Syrah. www.trinityhill.com
