Trinity Hill 2015 Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Merlot

27-May-2016
The Trinity Hill ‘White Label’ range is one of the most dependable in Hawke’s Bay. The wines encompass fruit not only from the home base of the Gimblett Gravels, but also the other districts, some of which may be deemed more suitable for the likes of the aromatic whites and lighter-bodied reds. In a sense, the wines are a good measure of how well the Hawke’s Bay region has fared in any particular vintage. Warren Gibson and John Hancock have made no secret of their admiration of the 2015 vintage. While the wines may not scale the heights of the stellar 2013 and 2014 years at the very top level, the 2015s will be very creditable, and they give consumers three excellent successive years. Here, I review the 2015 Trinity Hill ‘White Label’ Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Merlot. www.trinityhill.com
