  Bright, pale pink colour with a little depth and light purple hues on the rim. The nose is finely presented and refreshing with bright and aromatic, fragrant cherry and strawberry fruit, along with notes of watermelon, red florals and subtle confectionary notes. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, this has a tightly bound core of strawberries and cherries, along with lifted red florals and hints of confectionary. The fruit has sweetness, and is balanced by light, dry phenolic textures, and the palate is enlivened by mouthwatering, lacy acidity that lends a firm line. The fruit richness is carried positively to a long, lingering, well-concentrated finish of cherries and strawberries. This is a tightly bound, finely concentrated and firm dry rosé with balancing phenolics and mouthwatering acidity. Serve as an aperitif, with antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. A blend of Tempranillo and Syrah, with 5% Muscat, from the ‘Lyons’, ‘Cranwell’, Stewart’, Matthills’ and ‘Craft Farm’ sites in Havelock North and Bridge Pa, WBP and tank-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 6.0 g/L RS. 18.0+/20 Nov 2016 RRP $18.95

  Bright, even, yellow colour with slight golden hues, lighter edged. The nose is well-concentrated with aromas of yellow stonefruits, honeysuckle, yellow florals and hints of minerals entwined with a layering of aromatic, spicy and nutty oak. Off-dry to taste and medium full-bodied, the palate is deeply concentrated with rich and luscious flavours of yellow stonefruits, honeysuckle and yellow florals. Nutty elements and spicy oak add an exotic layering, enhancing the richness. The mouthfeel is rounded and smooth-textured, with balanced, integrated, soft acidity. The wine flows with concentration and linearity, leading to a long and sustained finish of stonefruits and spicy oak. This is a rich and succulent, off-dry Pinot Gris with stonefruit and honeysuckle flavours layered by spicy, nutty oak, on a smooth-flowing palate. Match with Middle Eastern and Asian fare over the next 3+ years. Fruit from 60% Petane Station, Esk Valley and 40% from Rene Fisch’s Te Awanga vineyard, 60% tank-fermented with 40% in two 1000 L German oak fuders, partially with indigenous yeasts to 13.5% alc. and 8.5 g/L RS, 30% of the fuder wine undergoing MLF, the wine aged 4 months before bottling. 18.5/20 Nov 2016 RRP $18.95
