The Crossings was established in 1996 as a significantly sized Awatere Valley producer, with three vineyards, ‘Medway', ‘Brackenfield' and ‘Willow Flat' totalling 143 ha. The company was acquired in 2005 by Ager Sectus, which gave its Hawke's Bay ‘Crossroads' winery a South Island partner. In 2011 Ager Sectus and Yealands merged and ‘The Crossings' came under the Awatere Valley-based Yealands umbrella, thus completing a full circle. The Crossings remains an Awatere Valley focussed brand and the wines reflect the styles emanating from that sub-region of Marlborough. www.thecrossings.co.nz
