Terrace Edge 2013 Waipara Pinot Gris and 2012 Classic Riesling

26-Mar-2014
The Chapman family are on a high and a roll as they have proven to be successful again across the board with the wines in their portfolio. The most recent award was another gold medal for their 2012 ‘Liquid Geography’ Riesling, this time at the recent Easter Show Wine Awards. The consistency of all their wines reflects the particular care and attention afforded the vines by Pete Chapman, and the sensitive winemaking by Dom Maxwell. However, it is the Pinot Gris and ‘Classic’ Riesling that are their ‘go to’ wines if one is to sense and taste what Terrace Edge is all about. They have an unctuous texture that is delicious. Here, I review the new release 2013 Pinot Gris and 2012 ‘Classic’ Riesling. www.terraceedge.co.nz
