te Pa 2016 Rosé, Sauvignon and Pinot Gris, and 2015 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir

09-Mar-2017
It appears the MacDonald family are set to ramp up their te Pa wines to a very high level. Located on the Wairau Bar of Marlborough, where they have over 150 ha of vines, with more in other Marlborough districts, they have the resources to grow significantly. The te Pa label is supported by the Pa Road and Koha tiers, and the wines have had real success at wine shows. There has been extensive marketing of the wines recently, and market awareness is growing. Sam Bennett is the winemaker with Liam McElhinney overseeing the proceedings. As the vines grow in maturity, I see the wines becoming more sophisticated. Here, I review the new release 2016 Pinot Rosé, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris, and 2015 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. www.tepawines.com
