TattyBogler 2012 Riesling, 2011 Pinot Gris and 2010 Pinot Noir

13-May-2013
Named after the scarecrows of the Scottish pioneers of Otago, the TattyBogler wines are the Bannockburn and Waitaki Valley wine expressions from John Forrest, based in Marlborough. The vineyards in Otago have been developed over the last 11 years and John Forrest prides himself in how they show the nuances of the terroirs following intensive work in fine-tuning the winemaking to suit. The wines add to the distinctiveness and breadth of range made by John. Here I review the new releases, the 2012 Riesling, 2011 Pinot Gris and 2010 Pinot Noir. www.tattybogler.co.nz
