Stonecrop Martinborough Rosé 2015

11-Apr-2016
Stonecrop is the wine label of Andrew Harris and Sally Richardson who own an 8 ha vineyard on Dry River Road just 6 ½ km south of the Martinborough village. They planted Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir in 2003, producing their first wine with the 2006 vintage. Andrew and Sally are resident in the town of Montauk on the South Shore of Long Island in New York State but commute to Martinborough regularly. They have family and consultant viticultural input and the wines are made at the Gladstone Vineyard facility. In 2014, they introduced a rosé wine to support the Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Much of the production is sold in New York City and Long Island, but there is availability in New Zealand. Here, I review the 2015 Rosé. www.stonecropwines.com
