Starborough Marlborough Pinot Gris 2011

The Jones family, professional Marlborough farmers, firstly in O'Dwyers Road from 1947, then at Starborough near Seddon have found that building carefully on a solid foundation is a key to success. This is how their Starborough wine label has grown. Based on Sauvignon Blanc, the Starborough label is a proven winner, the new 2012 Sauvignon Blanc now awarded two gold medals in the current round of wine shows. However, they have also found strength in Pinot Gris, also successful on the judging circuit previously. I had a pre-release tasting of the 2012 earlier this year as a tank sample and was impressed, and now I review the finished wine. www.starborough.co.nz
