St John’s Road 2013 GSM, Shiraz, Cabernet Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon

06-Jul-2015
St John’s Road was established by Martin and Viviene Rawlinson in 2001 to make authentic Barossa wine. Young movers and shakers Phil Lehmann, Dale Wyman, Alister Mibus and Jonathon Hesketh now look after St Johns and continue the vision. They work together with growers in the different sub-regions of the Barossa not only to reflect the individual site and district expressions, but to respect the generational history of the vineyards and the families that tend them. Here, I review a selection of 2013 reds. They are all regionally expressive and more elegant in the contemporary style. www.stjohnsroad.com The wines are distributed in New Zealand by Federal Merchants. www.federalmerchants.co.nz
