Seresin Marlborough Pinot Noir 2013

07-Nov-2016
Filmmaker Michael Seresin, based in London had the desire to make top quality wine in his homeland as naturally as possible. Establishing Seresin Estate in Bedford Road, near Renwick, his first vintage was in 1996. Along the way, Seresin Estate has grown to encompass three estate vineyards in the Wairau and Omaka Valleys, totalling around 150 ha, these fully BioGro certified organic, and fully biodynamic since 2012. The estate is run as an integrated farm encompassing full environmentally sustainable practices in accordance to biodynamic regimes. Clive Dougall is the winemaker, with Seresin Estate for over 10 years. A broad range of varietals and eclectic whites is made with various tiers including single vineyard Pinot Noirs culminating in the flagship ‘Sun and Moon’ Pinot Noir. Here, I review the 2013 ‘Estate’ Pinot Noir, one of the core wines. www.seresin.co.nz
