Rocky Point Central Otago Pinot Noir 2014

19-Nov-2015
Rocky Point is the second tier label of Prophet’s Rock. The name refers to a landmark that separates the company’s two vineyards in the Bendigo sub-region of Central Otago. The Rocky Point brand was first made in 2003, and since 2008 the fruit has been sourced exclusively from the company’s estate vines. Winemaker Paul Pujol has a European take on the styles, and the wines successfully capture the fruit exuberance of Central Otago and show the textural qualities that feature in the wines of France. The Rocky Point wines offer a degree of accessibility as well. Here, I review the 2014 Rocky Point Pinot Noir. www.prophetsrock.co.nz
