Ribbonwood is a second tier brand of wines from Framingham in Marlborough that is available through selected distribution channels and for export. It is named after New Zealand’s tallest deciduous tree, which was planted next to the Framingham winery in 1998. The wines I’ve tried to date have offered good quality and value, and a number have fared very well on the show circuit, attesting to the viticultural work of James Bowskill and winemaking of Andrew Hedley and Andrew Brown. Here are my reviews of the 2013 whites and the 2012 Pinot Noir. www.ribbonwoodwines.co.nz
