Rapaura Springs Rising to Premium Status

Spring Creek Vintners has been operating since 2005 as one of the significant ‘custom crush' wineries of Marlborough, producing around 850,000 cases of wine a year. Owned by the Neylon and Wiffin families, the winemaking is overseen by Digger Hennessy who has over 25 years of experience in Marlborough. The Rapaura Springs brand has been the face of Spring Creek Vintners, the label making an auspicious debut with critical acclaim for the Sauvignon Blanc, which offered incredible value. With much of the output geared as contract processing and winemaking, it was inevitable that the Rapaura Springs wines become raised in quality and profile. Winemaker Michael Bann has worked hard over the last few years to craft some serious expressions and styles to expand the range and place the name into the premium wine stakes. Fruit for the wines is based on four family estate vineyards run by the company, with some contract fruit sourced from other regions.
