Pied Stilt is the label for the Jackson family who have a vineyard on a 12 ha site near the Motueka Sandspit. The vineyard was establish in 2001, with Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with Albarino added in 2011 and more plantings in 2014/2015. The vineyard gained full BioGro organic certification in 2005. As a number of contract growers do, they launched their own Pied Stilt wines from the 2009 vintage. The wines are made by Stefan Heinrich at the Anchorage Wines facility. Here, I review the new 2017 Pinot Noir Rosé. www.piedstilt.co.nz
