Pegasus Bay 2014 Gewurztraminer, and 2013 Sauvignon Semillon and Chardonnay

30-Oct-2015
The Donaldson Family craft their wines based on their extensive experience of the world’s finest examples. This has resulted in wines that incorporate the complexing detail and nuances, as well as the positive textures of some of the benchmarks of the Old World, married to the fruit clarity that marks the wines of New Zealand and much of the New World. This makes the wines highly individualistic as seen from either traditional or modern perspectives. Their quality as well as character marks them as something special, and the informed wine consumer easily recognises this. Here, I review the new release 2014 Gewurztraminer which is reminiscent of wines from Alsace, the 2013 Sauvignon/Semillon which has similarities to dry white Bordeaux, and the 2013 Chardonnay which unashamedly is a white Burgundy look-alike. www.pegasusbay.com
