  Bright, deep, ruby-red in colour, this has a fulsome, layered nose, quite solid and complete, with dark red berry, plum and floral aromas, yet with depth and a classy stylishness. Full, softly harmonious, integrated and with a lovely balance, this has rich fruitiness backed by supple tannins. Very evenly expressed on palate, this has excellent length. Enjoyable now for its fleshiness, this will keep well.  Apr 2011 Made from the company's old, own-rooted 10/5 clone along with the Dijon 115, 777 and 667 clones, fermented in open top vats to 14.2% alc. then aged 12 months in French oak barrels. Bright ruby red colour with youthful purple hues, this has a stunningly fragrant and beautiful bouquet of pure red florals and dark red berry fruits delicately spiced by subtle oak nuances. The fresh, bright red berry and cherryish fruit flavours are underpinned by very fine-grained, but significant tannin extract that will enable the wine to develop well over the next 6-9 years. The past 12 months has seen this wine's true structural personality emerge, while still showing fresh acidity and vibrantly ripe, sweet fruit.
