Paddy Borthwick Wairarapa Sauvignon Blanc 2016

19-Aug-2016
Paddy Borthwick is one of the Wairarapa’s winemaking stalwarts with over 35 vintages to his credit. The 27 ha Borthwick vineyard on Dakins Road, Gladstone, established in 1996 is integral with his family farming operations in the region, and is thus part of the fabric of the district. All of the wines made by Paddy are strong in quality and are primarily exported, but have a very good domestic presence. I particularly enjoy the aromatic whites and Sauvignon Blanc is a strength. Here, I review the new 2016 vintage release. www.borthwick.co.nz
