Ngatarawa Glazebrook Pinot Gris 2015

16-Jul-2015
The ‘Glazebrook’ range of wines is named after Garry Glazebrook, who in partnership with Alwyn Corban founded Ngatarawa. The Glazebrook family are one of Hawke’s Bay’s pioneering farmers and their involvement in the wine industry in the early 1980s signalled a major development in the region in acceptance of grapegrowing. Winemakers Alwyn Corban and Peter Gough ensure wines are very contemporary and express varietal fruit and origin. In May, I reviewed a selection of the latest Hawke’s Bay wines under the ‘Glazebrook’ tier (click here to see). Here, I review the newest release, the 2015 Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris, my first 2015 vintage vine for ‘Feature Reviews’. Ngatarawa have been working with Pinot Gris for over a decade now. www.ngatarawa.co.nz
