Neudorf Vineyards is one of the few wineries in New Zealand that excel with every wine they make. Tim and Judy Finn have taken the greatest care in developing all their wines for over three decades and now reap the benefits of their resource of old vines grown in well-established vineyards in the familiar Moutere clay soils. They have had expert input in viticulture and winemaking over the years, and with all these factors contributing make some of the very best wines in the country. I awarded Neudorf my ‘Winery of the Year in 2012 for their outstanding high quality range, and their position at this top level remains unchanged. Here, I review the new 2014 Moutere Riesling Dry and Pinot Gris, and 2013 ‘Tom’s Block’ and Moutere Pinot Noirs. www.neudorf.co.nz
