The white Pinot varietals have become an essential and integral part of the Mount Edward portfolio. As with Pinot Noir, these variants need to be cropped low to deliver concentration and character. Duncan Forsyth's Pinot Gris rides the wave of popularity and has proven to be a success, and the new Pinot Blanc, made from cuttings acquired from Larry McKenna's Escarpment Vineyard is evolving towards an Alsace look-alike. www.mountedward.co.nz
