The 2009 vintage was indeed a benign one for winemaker Duncan Forsyth of Mount Edward. When things go well, the resultant wines reflect the ease and happiness with which they are made. The initial 2009 Pinot Noirs from Mount Edward have already been reported and posted (click here to view), and as promised, Duncan Forsyth showed the other 2009 Pinot Noir variants available, the single vineyard wines, as well as the ‘regular' Mount Edward Pinot Noir again, which has develop very well in the past two months. Unfortunately, the limited production, 65 case, single vineyard ‘Muirkirk' was sold out and not tasted. The wines tasted continue to show the beauty and comfortable nature of the 2009 vintage wines from Mount Edward. www.mountedward.co.nz
