Mount Dottrel Central Otago Pinot Noir 2010

09-Aug-2016
Simon and Roy McCallum have 42 ha of vineyard at Parkburn on the Cromwell-Wanaka Road in Central Otago where they grow fruit for their Mitre Rocks operation. Planting in 2000, their first vintage was in 2005. James Dicey of Grape Vision tends to the viticulture and the wines are made at VinPro in Cromwell. The Mount Dottrel brand is their second label, but it has won a number of top awards indicating the quality of the fruit and the care in the winemaking. Here, I review the 2010 Mount Dottrel Pinot Noir. www.mountdottrel.co.nz
