Moana Park had a successful change of ownership 12 months ago, rebranded in July 2020, now it's known as Moana Park Estate.
Dan Parker, Moana Park Estate's winemaker learnt early on his career that he suffered from allergies to sulphites, couldn't enjoy the fruit of his labour, so he was set to fix the problem, took the winemaking process back to basics, with a hand-off approach that requires no preservatives.
He first started to create additive-free, plant-based, vegan-friendly lo-fi wines for more than 15 years ago, this approach has a huge rise in demand over the past few years.
Their Growers Series featuring nautical creatures and tales of the sea, draw on the history of Moana Park Estate's heritage 3ha Puketapu block, tell the story of Hawke's Bay's connection to the land and sea. The land was, for thousands of years, nutrient dense seabed, but was raised from the ocean during the Napier Earthquake in 1931.
The Estate Grown Series has a clean, gold and white colour theme classy label.
Both ranges are vegan certified and contain minimal sulphites.
