Mediterranean Reds from Vintners N.Z.
The full and generously flavoured warm climate red wines of the Mediterranean find favour in New Zealand’s cooler maritime environment, especially complementing the white wines that are so well represented here. Most wine importing companies enjoy the success of these wines, and Vintners N.Z. with its classy portfolio has a strong selection of affordable examples. Here, I review a selection from Perrin in the Rhone in France, and from Bodegas Borsao and Telmo Rodriguez in Spain. www.vintners.co.nz
