  Dark, deep, black-hued ruby-red colour with slight purple hues, youthful in appearance. The nose is softly full and voluminous with harmoniously interwoven aromas od vibrant, savoury dark-red berry fruit and black plums, along with subtle notes of dark herbs and dark-red florals, unfolding suggestions of liquorice and nutty oak. Medium-full bodied, the palate has richly sweet, bright and juicy fruit flavours of black cherries and plums along with light notes of dark herbs, dark-red and violet florals. A little spice and liquorice adds detail. The mouthfeel is supple and smooth-flowing with light tannin extraction and grip, with balanced acid freshness. This carries with good energy and drive to an elegant, lingering finish. This is a rich, sweet and juicy Pinot Noir with bright dark-red berry and black plum flavours along with herbs and florals, liquorice and spice hints on a supple, smooth, fine-textured palate. Match with beef, lamb and venison over the next 5+ years. A blend of 50% Abel clone, 40% clone 777 and 10% clone 667, the fruit from Alexandra, fermented to 14.0% alc., and aged 10 months in 5% new oak barrels.
