Matahiwi ‘Holly’ Wairarapa Pinot Noir 2014

29-Jan-2016
The symbol of the phoenix on the new livery of the Matahiwi wines coincides with the second decade of winegrowing for Alastair Scott and Jane Cooper at the largest winegrowers of the greater Wairarapa district outside Martinborough. The top tier ‘Holly’ wines, named after Alastair’s daughter have shown a step up in sophistication, also supporting the rise of the brand. I was impressed with the 2013 ‘Holly’ Pinot Noir (click here for my review). Here is my review of the 2014 vintage. www.matahiwi.co.nz
