Marques de Riscal 2014 ‘Ardo and ‘Proximo’ Rioja

08-Jun-2016
Marques de Riscal is one of Rioja’s oldest wineries, founded in 1858. Over the years it has been at the forefront of much of Rioja’s innovation, and the company has interests outside Rioja, to include Rueda, Castille and Leon. The company has access to over 1,500 ha of vineyards and produces over 7 million bottles annually. Modern, fruity wines are the focus, with exports to over 100 countries taking a significant portion of the production. The Marques de Riscal wines are distributed in New Zealand by St Vincent’ Cave, principal Sophie Cotter working in the Spanish wine trade for 8 years. The ‘Ardo’ and ‘Proximo’ bottlings share the Marques de Riscal house style but are designed for off-premise and on-premise markets respectively. www.marquesderiscal.comwww.stvincentscave.com
