Maori Point Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir

11-Jul-2013
The Maori Point Vineyard was established by John Harris and Marilyn Duxson who planted 6.5 ha of Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir in 2002 on a bend in the Clutha River near Tarras, where Maori prospectors panned for gold in the 1860s. Carol Bunn made the first wines from the 2006 vintage until Lucie Lawrence of Aurum Wines took over in 2010. From tending the vineyard, John made his first wine, the Pinot Gris in 2012, and with the 2013s, John made all the wines, on site at the vineyard. Here are the current and new releases of the Maori Point Central Otago wines. www.maoripoint.co.nz
