Main Divide 2013 Sauvignon Blanc, and 2012 Riesling and Gewurztraminer

12-Jun-2014
Wine lovers can drink Pegasus Bay wines at a more affordable price and with greater accessibility by going to the ‘Main Divide’ label, deemed to be a brand in its own right rather than a second tier by the Donaldson family. The wines are made by the same team, with the same care, and similar philosophy, only from fruit sourced outside the estate vineyards, and with a nod towards freshness, purity and vigour, whereas the Pegasus Bay wines have greater complexities built in. Here, I review the new ‘Main Divide’ aromatic white releases, the 2013 Sauvignon Blanc, and 2012 Riesling and Gewurztraminer, the latter wine the first under the Main Divide label. www.maindivide.com
