Lowburn Ferry ‘Skeleton Creek’ Pinot Noir 2009

14-Apr-2011
The Lowburn Ferry vineyard was established by Roger and Jean Gibson in 2000 when they planted on a north-facing terrace at Lowburn, near Cromwell. From their first vintage in 2003, they have tasted great success. The 2009 ‘Home Block' Pinot Noir has won five gold medals and a trophy to date and is a testament to the site, the viticultural skills of the Gibsons tending their 4 hectares of vines, and sensitive winemaking by Carol Bunn. The ‘Skeleton Creek' label is the second tier wine, and provides a foretaste of the quality of the top wine. www.lowburnferry.co.nz
