Laroche is a name that is best known for Chablis, the company owing 8.9 ha of grand cru, premier cru and village vineyards, making excellent, modern style expressions. However, the company’s Languedoc operation with 32.5 ha of vineyards is as equally valued. The ‘Mas La Chevaliere’ winery is based at Beziers, where the estate and regional wines are made. The ‘Grape Varieties Collection’ represents a full range of varieties and styles of the Languedoc. Here, I review the 2015 Chardonnay and Syrah/Grenache blend. www.larochewines.com
