Kurow Village 2015 Penny Gold and 2013 Penny Red

18-Mar-2016
The Pasquale and Kurow Estate labels of Antonio Pasquale in the Waitaki Valley have been reinstated and the Kurow Estate winery recommissioned, after shutting down in early 2013. Renzo Mino, a viticulturist is the general manager, tending to business operations as well as the 8 ha of vines, and Craig Lory is the winemaker. Wine production recommenced with the 2014 vintage. Here, I review the new 2015 ‘Kurow Village’ ‘Penny Gold’ white made by Lory, and a 2013 ‘Penny Red’ Pinot Noir, the wine purchased from Alexandra. www.kurowestate.co.nz
