Invivo Organic Sauvignon Blanc 2015

School friends Rob Cameron and Tim Lightbourne have had an amazing run with the company they founded in 2007. Invivo is well entrenched in the domestic market and exports are a significant part of the success, and their equity crowdfunding exercise has enabled the potential for further growth. The label is primarily a Marlborough one, though excellent Central Otago wines are also made. As such, Sauvignon Blanc is given a high profile, the tank-fermented, fruit focussed bottling their most important wine. However, Rob and Tim have added another expression of the variety with an oak-influenced bottling, first vintaged in 2012 followed by a 2013. The 2015 is the third release, and the oaked component has been ‘ramped up’ further to increase the texture. Here is my review.
